Samad is also an Operating Principal of private equity fund Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) since 2011 and was seconded to its portfolio companies including the Port of Brisbane as Chief Operating Officer until 2014, and Chief Transformation Officer at Pacific National in Australia in 2016.
Prior to joining GIP, he spent 19 years at General Electric where he held various roles spanning P&L Leadership, Marketing, Six Sigma and Service Operations in United States and in Asia.
Samad holds a M.B.A and M.S. from the Ohio State University and Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
