Investment Senior Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION

Investment Senior Manager in Vena Energy’s Investment team in Seoul will lead the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities for Vena Energy in the renewable sector across Korea and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region.

As an Investment Senior Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new investment opportunities in Korea’s renewable energy space. You will be leading the deal team on due diligence and project research, modeling the forecasted financial performance of prospective investments and their correlation to key inputs including, but not limited to, economic trends, financing terms, regulations, development and operating assumptions and other value drivers.

Investment Senior Manager will drive and be involved in due diligence, building and reviewing in-depth proprietary financial models, modeling the arrangement of debt financing and supporting negotiation of commercial and legal contracts. Investment Senior Manager will have continued involvement with Vena Energy’s projects during and following the investment, including monitoring performance of key drivers of value, performing regular internal valuations, assisting with the execution of on-going financing transactions and monitoring investment performance in general.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Investment Senior Manager will actively manage all aspects of new investments, add-on investments, monetization and related financings, including but not limited to the following:

Driving new investment opportunities, ranging from market assessment, auction submissions, to competitive positioning, to initial underwriting and deal structuring
Working on diligence efforts on pursued deals, including business diligence, risk underwriting, commercial negotiations and managing external advisors
Structuring and procuring project financing from financing institutions, including documentation negotiations and project due diligence
Ability for hands-on involvement and/or leading the deal team in building robust flexible financial models to support deal underwriting and deal structuring efforts
Performing ad-hoc analysis to support transaction negotiations
Providing hands-on support to portfolio companies

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree and strong GPA from a leading college or university

Experience

7+ years of investment experience

SKILLS

Passion for the renewable energy sector
Financial modelling and accounting skills, analytical mindset
Excellent communication and people skills
Business savvy, highly entrepreneurial, passion for knowledge, drive for excellence
